Express Oil and Gas Limited has maintained a continuous presence in Nigeria since 1990's. Its activities in Nigeria are directed from a fully staffed operational base in Lagos. This 150-acre site includes office and living facilities, equipment and vehicle repair shops, a marine jetty, warehouses and fabrication and lay-down areas for both the client's and the Company’s materials and spare parts. The company started Nigeria's first major project to gather and process natural gas – the Escravos Gas Project Phase 1 – in 2000. In 2002, the company discovered one of Nigeria's largest deep-water discovery, the Agbami Field. Maximum total daily production of 250,000 barrels of crude oil and natural gas liquids is expected in 2014. |

Construction began in 2005 on the $12 billion Escravos Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) plant, designed to produce 34,000 barrels of clean fuels per day and to process 300 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Startup of the 421-mile (678-km) West African Gas Pipeline is expected in 2007. Nigeria boasts approximately 300 company branded service stations, blending and manufacturing facilities, and marketing activities. Express Oil and Gas Limited provides more than 1,000 jobs in Nigeria, about 40 percent of which are held by Nigerians. Express Oil and Gas Limited makes significant investments in school, health, scholarship, environment and empowerment programs, totaling more than $65 million over the past years. |
